The Bookcase!

Well, it's finished!!! And I think it is just plain adorable!!! I LOVE the fact that Shawn made it just for Lauren. I also love the fact that he made it with boards and nails and screws and that it didn't come from a box. It was quite the task, but I am so proud of my man for getting it done! If you didn't know this about him, he is WAY big on perfection with his projects. He literally doesn't stop until it is just.right. Thanks to some warped boards and a wife who just had to have a cube style bookcase he had a lot of work to do.

We found the plans here. This seems like a really cool site for do-it-yourself building projects.

In the process of building! I helped him with the project while Lauren was napping. Even though it wasn't super easy, it was still fun to help out. 

Here it is with the nail holes filled in as Shawn waited to apply the last layer of paint on some areas. Isn't it looking adorable? 

And, here is the finished product!!! I.am.in.love. I ordered three pink fabric cubes from Pottery Barn (they were major on sale, and they fit the dimensions of this build) and I am so excited to get them!!! Won't this look adorable with books and the pink fabric cubes? I can hardly wait!!!!!

These pictures are just because. Shawn snapped them before church yesterday. Lauren loves her Daisy Duck so we were talking to her a little before we had to leave.
